00300		Something  "artificial"  is   manmade.   Someone   "paranoid"
00400	believes others have malevolent intentions towards him.
00500		A computer simulation  of  paranoid  processes  involves  the
00600	construction  and  testing of a complex symbolic model. To understand
00700	such a model and its functions, it is first necessary  to  adopt  the
00800	perspectives  of  symbol  processing  and computer simulation. I have
00900	tried to  prsent  some  background  sufficient  to  orient  a  reader
01000	unfamiliar with these perspectives.
